1. Acceptance of terms
By creating a BookWyse account or using the app, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use BookWyse.
2. Your account
You are responsible for your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 13 years old to use BookWyse.
3. Books you upload
BookWyse does not supply copyrighted books. You bring your own. When you upload a book file to your library, you confirm that you own or are otherwise entitled to hold that copy, and you remain solely responsible for it. Uploaded files are private to you by default: nobody else can read them unless you deliberately share them under section 4.
4. Sharing a book file
You may only share a book file when it is in the public domain, or when the work is your own and you hold the rights to it. Each share requires you to confirm this at the moment you share. Files marked as a personal copy can never be shared — you can still recommend the title, and the other reader can obtain their own copy. Sharing files you have no right to share is a breach of these terms.
5. Our public-domain catalogue
The titles BookWyse offers in Discover are public-domain works only. We do not host, sell, or distribute copyrighted books, and we never make your uploads part of that catalogue.
6. Reporting and takedown
Every shared file can be reported from within the app. If we receive a credible report — or a rights-holder notice sent to info@bookwyse.app identifying the work and the material complained of — we may remove the file, revoke every share of it, and notify the uploader. Accounts subject to repeated takedowns are suspended. If you believe a removal was mistaken, contact us and we will review it.
7. Your other content
Reviews, posts, comments, messages, and collections you create remain yours. By posting, you grant BookWyse a non-exclusive licence to display that content within the service. Content that is abusive, unlawful, or infringes the rights of others may be removed and can lead to suspension.
8. Community conduct
BookWyse is a warm, encouraging space for readers. Harassment, hate speech, spam, and attempts to game streaks, points, or leaderboards are not permitted. Messages and community posts are moderated on report.
9. The service
We work hard to keep BookWyse available and improving, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties. Features (including rewards and badges) may change as the product evolves. Please keep your own backup of any book file that matters to you — BookWyse is a reading companion, not a storage service.
10. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is permanent and removes your library, uploaded files, reading history, friendships, and messages. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, including for repeated copyright takedowns.
